Step #4: Print out Your Image or Photo:

Just confirm first which photo/image you want to print. Mirroring of the photo/image is necessary if your photo/image contains some letters. For editing your photo, if you are thinking about a good photo editing software then ‘Canva’ is a good option for you. Most of the time I use Canva to edit my photos.

Resize the image: It is a must. It is seen that many times we just take a printout without taking measurements of the wood. Do take the measurement of the wood and accordingly, resize your photo/image and then give the print command. Cut out the photo with the help of a scissor.

Step #5: Adhere your Photo to the Wood with Mod Podge:

Paint a layer of Mod Podge onto the wood. You have to keep in mind that the layer of Mod Podge applied to the wood will not be so thin or thick.

Now place your photo printout onto the wood. The direction of the photo will be face down on the wood. Now press the photo with the help of the sponge so that there will be no air bubbles in between.

Step #6: Allow the Mod Podge to Dry:

Now give the time to this assembly to dry. I have gone through many results here and there that some people are giving 48 hours, some 72 hours or some say 24 hours. It all depends on you. I took it 48 hours to let it dry. But in my opinion more it is the more effective it is. I say you, just don’t go with anyone’s opinion. Just try and do practical. And then decide what gives you the best. And adopt it.

Step #7: Rub Away the Paper Backing with a Damp Cloth:

If you are sure that your Mod Podge is dried enough, then it is time to remove the paper. For that, just take a towel, wet it, and rinse the water. The towel should be wet enough to wet the paper. Then rub the paper with your fingers and remove the paper. Don’t do this step in a hurry. Take your time and slowly remove the paper from the wood.

Step #8: Use the Mod Podge as a Sealer:

Apply some thin layers of Mod Podge onto the wood with a photo. It works as a sealant. It seals your design on the wooden piece and protects it from dust.

And now it looks just wow!
